Creating natural light that heals
This system uses LED lights to mimic natural daylight patterns in patient rooms, rather than the harsh lighting that patients normally experience in wards. Light levels gradually increase to replicate the soft glow of a morning sunrise to the bright light of mid-mornings, and then steadily decrease in the evening. Natural light has been clinically proven to improve patient wellbeing and sleep in clinical trials. http://www.lighting.philips.co.uk/systems/packaged-offerings/office-and-industry/healwell.html

A TV series about spies and their families
Set in the early 1980s during the Cold War, The Americans is the story of two Soviet KGB officers posing as an American married couple living in Washington, D.C., with their children. The series was created by Joe Weisberg, a former CIA officer, who was fascinated by stories he had heard from agents who served abroad as spies, while raising their families.

A Passion Project
A Passion Project used to be a term reserved for kids at school. The new digital economy is making it relevant to adults. It's a project you're passionate about that you can pursue without quitting your job or education. Examples include learning to play the guitar, writing a book or developing a new digital service. Your passion project may even be the launch pad of the next big company that will help make the world a better place. https://www.ted.com/talks/steven_johnson_how_play_leads_to_great_inventions/transcript?language=en

A restaurant made famous by cricketers
Friends suggested we go to Surjit's Restaurant in Annandale for my birthday dinner because the Indian cricket team often stops by there when they're playing in Sydney. One wall in the restaurant has been been adorned with a collection of autographed material by all the cricket players who have visited the restaurant. Great ambiance and meal.
