AI model predicts Alzheimer's indicators

A recent AI model predicted with 71% accuracy, the onset of Alzheimer’s disease - 7 years before it’s clinically diagnosed. Imagine the quality of life for our ageing populations, and the reduced strain on our health and government services.

Researchers from IBM and Pfizer trained the model to detect signs of speech impairment in written descriptions of an image of a cookie.
