Aussie Healthtech develops AI training approach using privacy by design
We know that the more data it has to train on, the more efficient and accurate machine learning algorithms can get. Presagen, a healthtech scaleup from South Australia, has pioneered a federated learning technique that builds in privacy by design.
Using this decentralised and patent-pending approach, it trains AI algorithms at the data source (eg private patient data) wherever they are stored, without having to store or process the private information locally or sharing it further.
Chinese researchers say they have developed an artificial intelligence technology that can calculate a person’s biological age from a 3D image. Biological age is a measurement of age based on various biomarkers, and can change due to lifestyle and other health factors.A team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences said their study showed that yoghurt, coffee, fruits, chicken, beans and “eating on time” could help to slow down ageing. In contrast, smoking, drinking alcohol, eating pickled food, taking antibiotics and exposure to ultraviolet could make people look older. It also showed that people age fastest in their 40's.https://www.scmp.com/news/china/science/article/3102104/chinese-ai-technology-shows-people-age-fas
