‘Redeeming Justice’ is a memoir about Jarett Adams. He was seventeen when an all-white jury sentenced him to prison for the crime of rape, a crime he didn’t commit. After studying case law in prison, African American Jarrett Adams reached out to the Innocence Project.The case was heard in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and it was unanimously reversed. The case unraveled  due to new evidence that police withheld a statement from a college student that vindicated Adams from the crime.Now a pioneering lawyer specializing in  criminal defense, Adams  recalls the journey that led to his exoneration.

Olivia Hill has made history as the first openly trans person to be elected to political office in Nashville, Tennessee. On Thursday (14 September), Hill made history, winning 12.9 per cent of the vote and being elected to the Metro Council.
