Sharing innovation to inspire action

Evidence, Debate, Common Good Decisions, Cooperative Action – YES WE CAN!

post-image

Australians generally have a good sense of reality and a healthy cynicism. We can also band together and mutually support when times are tough. It is good to see most of our Federal and State politicians, labour and business leaders demonstrating cooperative leadership in the face of the COVID-19 challenge. The ‘National Cabinet’ is fulfilling a good coordinating role. Differences of view are being aired and common good responses determined, based on the best evidence available. Not everything is perfect, nor will it ever be. Liberal democracy in action! Can we carry these lessons forward, once the crisis has passed?

Good point Glenn - it's about time our politicians focused on the public interest rather than their own interests in staying in power. This should be excellent practice for a new future.
