Improving a Learning Enrichment Centre

There is a need in my school’s Learning Enrichment Centre for more space and better facilities. I wish to propose a model of a redesigned Learning Enrichment Centre, where students will flourish in their learning and be provided with the resources for various subjects, including life skills units. This would hopefully encourage the school to upgrade the conditions of the Learning Enrichment Centre. My model will be made using foam boards and laser cut pieces for the interior furniture. I am looking for suggestions on possible themes, and safety regulations to incorporate into my design to assist with development. Thanks!

Sustainable takeaway packaging

Every year NSW generates 8000 tonnes of plastic take away waste. Every year we waste around 7.6 million tonnes of food across the supply and consumption chain in Australia. Every year no states or territories across Australia has taken action. I am designing biodegradable takeaway packaging made from fruit and vegetable skins to help solve the amount of fruit waste and packaging waste in landfills. I seek assistance from industry professionals to help source a pressure heat mould and different moulding techniques?

Safe Space for Autism

Children who experience autism, can be hypersensitive to certain stimuli such as light, sound and taste. If a combination of these happens at the same time, this can lead to an overstimulation or sensory overload and cause a meltdown. I aim to design and construct a product that creates a ‘safe space’ for children with autism, as well as providing a place to learn in a classroom and at home. My product Haven would allow for children between K-6 to feel safe at school. I am looking for feedback from specialist, as well as interest in the overall idea. Thanks!
