More meaningful learning experiences in the Metaverse

post-image

According to Accenture we are on the threshold of a new decade of digital transformation. The Metaverse Continuum (from 2D to 3D and from cloud and artificial intelligence to extended reality, blockchain, digital twins, edge technologies and beyond) is the next evolution of the internet.

Immersive learning, for example, works better in the metaverse. While we are at the early days of the metaverse, Paul Daugherty, Group Chief Executive of Accenture Technology says it will advance very quickly. If companies don’t act now, they’ll find themselves operating in worlds designed by, and for, someone else.

Great post Lynn. This could be Second Life reborn (for those of us old enough to remember it!). Definitely a great opportunity for industries to change the way we learn and develop our skills (doing away with lectures, manuals and moved to virtual lived experiences). In a post covid world, can the metaverse help us explore our world virtually or reconnect with our past without leaving our homes?
