Many workplaces have an expectation that you will go back to work in the office.
Here’s what Tracy Brower, PhD (in Forbes) thinks it means for your career.
Overall, you can expect your employer to require you to show up in the office.
You can expect less opportunities for remote work, as the prevalence of fully remote jobs has dropped from a high of 61.5% to 11.5% today.
However there is evidence that offering people more flexibility results in plenty of benefits. Innovation tends to increase with flexibility (from 71% who say they are innovative with flexibility compared to 57% who don’t have flexibility).
