Over the last several years, major advances in genomics–specifically, the way diseases manifest and develop in the body at the genetic level–are improving our ability to target illness at each stage and improve the patient experience. As a result, we’re sometimes better able to predict which treatments could be most effective by taking into account patients’ genetic make-up, environment and lifestyle.
