Renewable Energy Future by Artificial Intelligence

post-image
In the bigger picture, AI will be the brains behind a proposed national smart grid that will take the input of millions of sensors to make real-time decisions about which sensors need to be replaced and where to allocate energy resources. One very famous example of an energy-saving AI algorithm involves Google. Wind and solar offer particularly rich datasets that algorithms can chew on in order to provide insights on current problems, predict issues that might arise, improve energy storage or to identify the optimal layout of the next mega solar farm .

I understand that a benefit of a smart grid is that grid operators can dynamically change which type of generation will supply an area based on many variables, including the cheapest cost and highest efficiency. This means the implementation costs can be offset relatively quickly by the vastly cheaper and more efficient system.

What do you mean about deciding who lives and dies?

What do you mean about deciding who lives and dies?

It means with the help of Artificial Intelligence in future the automated machines can predict which "Sensor" is live & die or needs to be replaced for boosting efficiency in energy production.

Hope it clarifies your questions
