Spreading Light in the Darkness with Can-orah

post-image
Jews across the world combine spirituality and charitable lessons. The Can-orah campaign for Chanukah is a menoah made from  donated food cans.  It takes typically 770 cans as a goal to create a great menorah. The message in Chanukah is to fight the darkness of despair with light . Kids and adults spread the light by feeding the hungry. The cans gets erected and participants are happy to see their pile of cans grow. Menorah’s usually get as tall as 5 feet. The food is sent  to warehouses and then donated to families in crisis.
