Street activation to help local businesses

Some businesses in Coogee, a popular beach suburb of Sydney, have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic , They are supporting an idea to activate and enliven Coogee Bay Road with pop-up dining, grassed areas and live music stages.

Randwick Council is currently working with local businesses to explore options for a temporary closure of part of the street, providing more space for businesses to use for social distancing.
