The Evangelical Lutheran Church’s First Trans Bishop

The 41-year-old Megan Rohrer became the trans bishop in any mainstream U.S. faith denomination when they were installed as bishop in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in a ceremony held in September 2021.

Megan got the position after being voted into the role by their colleagues in May.
