ColourSpace - Art made available in spaces beyond galleries and digital screens
Melbourne based ColourSpace is an Arts based, subscription social enterprise on a mission to improve opportunities for communities to engage with art everywhere- at work, during events, hospitals, homes and for artists to have an audience. Art works can be woven into everyday lives and made more available, not just concentrated in galleries. The team curate art works from local artists and change them on a regular basis, building creative, inspiring spaces where people can connect with creative ideas. They operate in Melbourne and Sydney focussing on new ways to bring art to people- wherever they are. https://www.colourspace.gallery

Australian Artist Shaun Tan’s “The Lost Thing”
Experienced in Kyoto- Isetan Art museum. The Lost Thing is a humorous film about a boy who discovers a bizarre-looking creature. It is lost and he tries to find who owns it or where it belongs, but the problem is met with indifference by everyone else. Each is unhelpful in their own way; strangers, friends, parents are all unwilling to entertain this uninvited interruption to day-to-day life. The boy feels sorry for this creature and attempts to find out where it belongs. What started as an amusing nonsensical story developed into an insightful fable. Narrated by Tim Minchin.
