Fake beef
Impossible Foods is making meats and cheeses directly from simple plant ingredients. Their foods are designed to have the delicious taste and texture of animal products, but no cholesterol, hormones, antibiotics, or contaminants ? and require far less land, water and energy to produce. They start with plants, such as grains, greens and beans and separate proteins, fats, and other nutrients from each one, selecting those that give their foods desirable flavors and textures. They then combine these proteins with vitamins, amino acids, and fats, all from plants, to make their meats and cheeses. They plan to launch their first hamburger in the US in 2016. www.ImpossibleFoods.com

A courtesy bus to and from your local pub
I'm a city Idea Spy on holidays in country NSW- love this idea for the locals to be able to go out for drinks and dinner without having to drink/drive.

A grocery store with no waste
You won?t find any paper or plastic bags in this Berlin store. Zero waste is created by allowing customers to purchase exactly how much they need, reducing waste in their homes. They carry mostly organic products that aren?t brand names using a bulk bin system. http://www.original-unverpackt.de

A la carte healthy school lunches
The French believe that teaching healthy eating routines to children is a priority, along with reading. School lunch menus are planned in advance and children are served 3-4 course meals with proper cutlery and water, instead of bringing their own lunch to school. Historically, France has been known for its slender people and longevity. To combat increasing obesity levels France passed a law in 2005 banning soda-and-snack-selling vending machines from public schools. https://karenlebillon.com/french-school-lunch-menus/

A Valentine's dinner with style
Cellos Restaurant hosted the best Valentine's dinner ever! Their set menu started with a strawberry and fresh basil cocktail. This heritage listed jewel was opened in 1927 and is now one of the last grand dining rooms in Sydney. http://www.thecastlereagh.com.au/dining/cellos-restaurant.htm
