007 tech now available to police for car chases
A dart can now be placed inside a compartment on the grill of a police vehicle and activated from inside. Once launched, it attaches to the rear bumper or licence plate of an offending vehicle, and the officer is able to track it through a GPS system. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/delta-police-gps-darts-1.3933242

Help for pregnant women on transport

However, commuters are often so engrossed in their smartphones that they don't notice when a pregnant woman boards the train. Now London-based innovation firm 10x has developed an app called Babee on Board, which should help pregnant women get other commuters' attention. http://www.mirror.co.uk/tech/babee-board-app-prompts-inconsiderate-9677387

Transplants with printed human body parts
A lack of suitable donors for transplants, particularly as cars get safer and first-aid becomes more effective, means the supply of such organs is limited. One promising approach is to print them. As yet, such ?bioprinting? remains largely experimental. But bioprinted tissue is already being sold for drug testing, and the first transplantable tissues are expected to be ready for use in a few years? time. http://www.economist.com/news/science-and-technology/21715638-how-build-organs-scratch?
